John Wendel, Ph.D.

John Wendel has worked as a business anthropologist for almost 20 years, conducting ethnographic and qualitative research for diverse healthcare and corporate clients. John began his research career investigating the global flow of people, products and ideas in the Pacific Islands of Micronesia, research that continues to inform his understanding of how consumer identities are formed and change over time. John enjoys working with his clients to design research that addresses the complexity of the issues that they are facing. Recent projects include ethnographic research in Europe on hemophilia, adherence/compliance among people with polychronic disease, and a year-long ethnographic study of patients on an injectable biologic medication, viewing both in-home and physician interactions.
